Hardwood Floors

There are two types of hardwood floors. Nail down wood floors are typically installed as a solid wood product that is nailed down to the concrete slab and site finished. They can have either hand scraped appearance or smooth finishes in any stain color desired and can be refinished numerous times.

The second type is engineered wood floors come with factory finishes either hand scraped or smooth in a variety of colors. They are a wood veneer attached to a plywood core and they are glued down to your concrete slab. Engineered wood is more scratch proof than nail down wood as it is treated with seven to eight coats of aluminum oxide, giving most of these products up to a 20-25 year finish guarantee.
